TEAPULSE is a modern tea beverage and light bakery brand that fuses traditional tea culture with innovation. Our name represents the heartbeat of tea—bringing vitality, freshness, and inspiration to every sip.
We are committed to crafting high-quality, fresh, and innovative tea beverages and bakeries using only premium ingredients. The fragrance of tea, the richness of milk, and the natural sweetness of fruit are the soul of our creations. Our tea is a tribute to nature and a celebration of life, and we are excited to share this simple pleasure with a new generation of tea lovers worldwide.
With a strong presence in Asia, TEAPULSE is rapidly expanding across North America—and we're looking for passionate professionals to grow with us.
By 2026, we are building a disciplined system for store operations, budget management, and new store expansion. As our CEO spends significant time outside the U.S., we are building a New York–based control tower to keep the business running tightly and transparently.
Role Summary:
This role exists to turn annual plans and budgets into weekly and monthly execution.
You will use data to identify deviations, push corrective actions across departments, and ensure stores and headquarters deliver results. This is a hands-on role that combines numbers, execution, and cross-functional leadership.
Work Location & Schedule
- Permanent, long-term presence in New York
- Hybrid work model: office + store visits
- Expected 2–3 days per week on-site at stores for validation, with remaining time in the office for analysis and follow-up
Key Responsibilities1. Business Performance & Budget Management
- Build and maintain monthly dashboards (Sales, Discounts, Delivery, COGS %, Labor %, Prime Cost %, EBITDA, key expenses)
- Conduct Budget vs. Actual variance analysis by store, region, channel, and expense category
- Translate variances into corrective action plans, assign owners, push execution, and verify results
2. CEO Office & PMO Execution
- Run weekly CEO meetings: agenda, materials, facilitation, minutes, action items, deadlines, and follow-ups
- Maintain an annual project register (owners, milestones, dependencies, risks, Definition of Done)
- Drive cross-functional execution across operations, finance, supply chain, marketing, expansion, and IT
3. Store Visits & On-Site Validation
- Conduct regular store visits to identify root causes behind performance numbers (staff execution, training gaps, production flow, delivery issues, customer feedback, damage or waste)
- Work with headquarters and store teams to ensure improvement actions are implemented—not just suggested
4. CEO Reporting & Risk Escalation
- Deliver a concise weekly one-page CEO brief covering key metrics, risks, deviations, actions, and decision points (A/B options)
- Escalate major risks quickly (food safety, hygiene, system outages, serious complaints)
What We're Looking For
- You understand numbers and can push execution
- You can read a P&L and understand that profit comes from structure and discipline, not intuition
- You can turn discussions into clear action lists and follow through until completion
- You communicate professionally, clearly, and directly—even when pushing others
- You can simplify complex issues into clear decision materials for executives
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in project management, operations analysis, or multi-unit HQ support (food & beverage or retail preferred)
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills (SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, budget tracking; ability to read P&L statements)
- Fluent in English and Chinese (strong written and verbal communication)
- Based in New York with flexibility for frequent store visits
Preferred Experience
- New store openings
- Supply chain or process optimization projects
- System or POS rollouts
- Familiarity with POS systems and delivery platforms (Uber Eats, DoorDash, etc.)
Performance Measurement
- On-time monthly business and budget reports
- Closure rate of top variance corrective actions
- Weekly action item completion rate
- Early risk detection (at least 2 weeks in advance)
- Quality of CEO decision packages (clear options and impact assessment)
We're not looking for a helper. We're looking for someone who can run the budget, push projects to delivery, read numbers clearly, and get things done.
