Job Description:
At Regions, the Technology Automation Manager is a strategic leader responsible for driving large automation initiatives that deliver measurable business value. This role leads and mentors a team of automation developers and partners to identify automation opportunities and design and implement scalable solutions using platforms such as UiPath, the Microsoft Power Platform and other emerging automation technologies. By collaborating across business and technology teams, this position oversees the full life cycle of automation projects - from ideation to production support - while establishing governance and prioritization frameworks to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Primary Responsibilities

Leads and mentors a team of automation developers and partners focused on delivering scalable solutions using UiPath, the Microsoft Power Platform, and other automation technologies

Develops and implements a structured prioritization framework for automation opportunities based on return on investment (ROI), complexity, business impact, and strategic alignment

Collaborates with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and translate requirements into technical solutions

Oversees the design and development of end-to-end automation workflows that streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency to achieve business outcomes

Manages the lifecycle of automation projects from ideation through production support, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes

Establishes and enforces best practices for automation development, including governance, documentation, testing, and deployment standards

Monitors and reports on automation performance, ROI, and adoption across the organization

Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in robotics process automation (RPA), intelligent automation, and Gen AI, and determine ways to incorporate these into the Regions ecosystem to drive further business value

Partners across Technology, Operations, Digital, and Data (TODD) to ensure controls are designed, implemented, and monitored to strengthen risk management, compliance, and cyber security, effectively mitigating risk to levels within the company's risk appetite

Ensures disciplined change management by evaluating risk and control impacts when designing or implementing changes to processes, systems, products, and/or services

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or related field and seven (7) years of experience in automation and/or robotic process automation

Or High School Diploma/GED and eleven (11) years of experience in automation and/or robotic process automation

Two (2) years of leadership, management and/or supervisory experience

Preferences

Prior experience in the financial services industry

Proven experience leading a team in the design, development, and deployment of automation solutions using platforms such as UiPath, Microsoft Power Platform, and other automation technologies

Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills

Understanding of and ability to interpret applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance

Regions will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position. Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to Birmingham, AL, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Job Range Target:
Minimum: $144,121.00 USD

Median: $184,290.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans: This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and/or company performance.Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
