Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Director of Human Resources to lead and manage HR operations across our growing, multi-location outpatient pediatric practice. This on-site leadership role requires regular travel between 5 practice locations to support providers, clinical teams, and administrative staff.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized, solutions-oriented HR professional with healthcare experience, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for supporting a mission-driven pediatric care environment.
Job Summary

You will oversee all facets of human resources management, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and organizational development. Duties
- Lead all human resources functions across multiple outpatient pediatric locations
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providers, and practice managers
- Ensure consistent HR policies, procedures, and practices across all sites
Recruitment & Staffing
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for clinical and non-clinical positions
- Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and training for new hires
- Support workforce planning to ensure appropriate staffing levels at each location
- Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Address employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions and conflict resolution
- Coach managers on performance evaluations, corrective action, and staff development
- Foster a positive, professional, and patient-centered workplace culture
Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Maintain employee handbook, HR policies, and personnel files
- Support audits, investigations, and required HR documentation
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Support
- Administer employee benefits programs and support payroll processes
- Assist leadership with compensation reviews and pay practices
- Respond to employee inquiries related to benefits, payroll, and HR policies
Training & Development
- Coordinate mandatory compliance training and ongoing staff development initiatives
- Support leadership development and continuing education for clinical and administrative teams
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive HR experience
- Prior HR experience required; pediatric or outpatient experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and best practices
- Ability to travel regularly between multiple practice locations
