Senior – Program Project Management Instructor

The Senior Program Project Management Instructor will support a contract that provides instruction and training delivery support to a federal agency and that will deliver courses based on Industry and Federal Government Program and Project Management. Course content will be provided by the Federal Agency.

Nature of Work/ Duties

This role involves delivering courses developed by the Federal Agency and performed under the general supervision of a coordinator. The Instructor shall:

• Remain current with applicable government, agency, industry, and curriculum content materials, guidelines, policies, and adult learning theories.
• Effectively deliver face-to-face and virtual course instruction based on the current course certification outline, content, course materials, and timeline.
• Be able to demonstrate how Program Management concepts can be applied to multiple domains and industries, such as Healthcare, Construction and Information technology.
• Be able to facilitate student group activities, that will comprise 30 – 50% of course delivery.
• Communicate before and after classes to identify any specific client needs and suggest content modifications where required.
• Handle all attendee-related administrative matters proactively and satisfactorily before, during, and immediately after course completion.
• Maintain proficiency in using word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software, email, and web-based cloud storage and collaboration tools.
• Employ appropriate verbal and written communication styles to suit various audiences and interactions for diverse purposes and contexts.
• Be receptive to feedback, willing to learn, and foster continuous personal development.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

• A four (4)-year college degree or higher, or equivalent work experience.
• At least three (3) years of instructor led training experience.
• At least two (2) years providing virtual instructor led training (VILT).
• At least five (5) years of Program Management experience.
• At least three (3) years' experience on federal programs and projects within the last 10 years, either as a Federal civilian or a member of industry.
• Previous work on a government contract is preferred but not required.

Work Schedule

• Course delivery offerings range from two (2) to nine (9) days.
• Instructors can anticipate working 10 days, on average, per month and is dependent on the government schedule.
• Virtual Instructional Deliveries require instructors to provide reliable broadband internet connectivity and computer equipment (computer, monitor, headset, camera, etc.) to ensure smooth operation, and a good user experience.
• In-Person Instructional Deliveries may require Instructor Travel. When approved, instructor travel is reimbursable per GSA Federal Travel Regulations (FTR).

Pay

• Starting at $85/hour
• Part-Time / 1099 Contractor
• Veteran hiring preference, but not mandatory.
