POSITION SUMMARY
The Teen Coordinator is responsible for creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all program participants. Responsibilities include monitoring program, providing program information, participation in weekly delegation meetings, and administrative duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Create a welcoming environment for all program participants.
Process participant registrations, promptly, accurately, and thoroughly.
Proactively connect and monitor program to develop and support the achievement of participant goals.
Responsible for building small communities by facilitating connections with and between participants.
Manage recruitment and processing of program volunteers using designated software.
Assist with administrative tasks such as Dayforce scheduling, auditing of timesheets and approvals.
Assisting with staff supervision, training recommendations, appropriate staff coaching, and provide discipline recommendation to Director.
Respond promptly and courteously to all complaints, questions and compliments while following the appropriate procedures at all times.
Communicate with local officials in order to schedule and facilitate Y&G Delegation Meeting visits.
Document progress of program in accordance with grant, via photos and videos.
Attend weekly Y&G delegation meetings, In-Person conferences and scheduled Teen Events.
Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
Uphold YMCA policies for safety, supervision, mandated reporting and risk management.
Demonstrate the Six Pillars of Character (Trustworthiness, Citizenship, Respect, Responsibility, Caring, Fairness) as well as the YMCA Core Values of caring, respect, honesty and responsibility in all dealings with members, guests, volunteers and fellow staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
AGE: 21 years or older
EDUCATION: high school diploma or Equivalent
CERTIFICATIONS: YMCA Team Leader Certification, preferred
SPECIALIZED SKILLS: Strong character values; communication skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT/MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS You must have the physical, visual, and auditory ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
