Role Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Shuttle Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating semi-trucks with trailers or yard tractors to move trailers within the yard and to loading docks. This role requires close coordination with warehouse personnel, adherence to safety guidelines, effective communication, and compliance with transportation regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Trailer Movement: Maneuver trailers within the yard, transport them to loading docks, and ensure proper placement for loading and unloading.
• Organization and Coordination: Work closely with warehouse personnel to schedule trailer movements, secure trailer doors, and maintain an organized yard.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety guidelines, conduct vehicle inspections, and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Communication: Keep clear communication with the team, report yard issues, and provide shift change briefings.
• Record Keeping: Maintain records of trailer movements and report any damages or issues.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform pre-trip inspections, report mechanical issues, and keep maintenance records.
• Efficiency Improvement: Identify and suggest ways to improve yard operations.
• Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies following protocols.
• Training: Participate in training programs, safety meetings, and complete mandatory classes.
• Environmental Responsibility: Follow environmental guidelines and properly store hazardous materials.
• Safe Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness in the operations area and vehicles.
• Policies: Adhere to company policies such as Standard of Conduct, Drug & Alcohol, EO, and Sexual Harassment, and comply with the no-smoking policy.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Class A driving or related roles.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Clean MVR and background, valid Medical Card.
• Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.

Scheduled Hours:

• Shift Time: Night shift and Day Shift available

Work Rotation:

• 36/48 Schedule: Employees work 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next week, rotating between three 12-hour shifts in the first week and four 12-hour shifts in the following week.
