As an Architecture Intern, you'll join our design studios where ideas become buildings. From educational facilities to workplaces to community spaces, you'll experience every stage of the design process and see how collaboration with interior designers and engineers makes ideas real.

What You'll Do

• Work with architects and project teams on design development, documentation, and presentations.
• Develop technical skills in Revit and visualization tools while growing your design voice.
• Sit in on client interactions and internal reviews to understand the business of architecture.
• Explore sustainability, planning, and research efforts that shape our work.

Who You Are

• Junior, Senior, or Graduate student in Architecture.
• Proficient in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite; bonus if you know SketchUp, Rhino, or Enscape.
• Strong design eye, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.

Our interns don't just learn their become part of an integrated design community. You'll collaborate with peers in Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, and Engineering throughout the program. Have friends in those majors? Encourage them to apply, too.

Location & Travel Expectations

This role is based in one of our physical office locations (Cincinnati, OH; Columbus, OH; or Greensboro, NC) and is ideal for candidates who thrive in a highly collaborative, in person environment. Being onsite allows for deeper day to day engagement with peers and project teams, faster decision making, and organic moments of creativity and mentorship that emerge through shared space.

Compensation & Benefits

Your growth matters here - our pay reflects both your contributions and your potential. Our intern positions start at $20/hour, with the opportunity to increase by $1/hour for each additional term you return (up to a maximum of $22/hour). Graduate students begin at $22/hour. SHP also covers your parking expenses, so you can focus fully on gaining meaningful experience without worrying about the cost of getting here.
