Job Summary: The Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Process Management

  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team.

Resourcing

  • Collaborates with department managers to identify resourcing needs and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.

Candidate Sourcing

  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available position, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.
  • Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications.
  • Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements, contacting recruiters, using newsgroups and job sites.
  • Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media, etc.
  • Manages job posting and advertisement processes.

Talent Assessment

  • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Assess applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes.
  • Oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Schedules interviews.
  • Conducts interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule.
  • Administering appropriate company assessments.
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.

Offers and Onboarding

  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process.

Compliance and Other

  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Explore new technologies that streamline the recruitment process.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities - Technical

  • Excellent negotiation skills and tactics.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies to recruit for a variety of roles.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
  • Proficient project management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
  • At least five years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • SHRM's Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
