Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Manager to oversee the operations and management of our heavy equipment fleet and mechanic shop. The ideal candidate could have a background in business administration, construction or supply chain management, with a strong understanding of logistics and fleet maintenance practices. As a Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our fleet while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fleet Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Metro Green Mechanic's team, including scheduling, ordering parts, and directing mechanics on equipment that is scheduled for routine maintenance.
  • Parts Ordering and Data Entry: Monitor fleet operating expenses, order parts, and input invoice data into data management system. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements by leveraging quotes from various vendors.
  • Mechanic Management: Communicate and work with mechanics to ensure they have all required tools and parts to upkeep the fleet maintenance schedule.
  • Fleet Technology Integration: Stay abreast of advancements in fleet management technology and recommend systems to improve efficiency, safety, and visibility into fleet operations.
  • Safety and Compliance: Work with Metro Green's Safety Manager to schedule trainings, stay compliant with all relevant regulations and standards governing fleet operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation Management, Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in technology skills and ability to learn fleet management software.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $80, $150,000.00 per year
