Substitute Teacher

We are seeking a caring, dependable, and experienced Long-Term Substitute Teacher to provide coverage for our PreK 3 Lead Teacher, who will be leaving the program. The selected candidate will assume all Lead Teacher responsibilities as defined by our program and the school district, ensuring continuity and consistency for students during this transition.

This role is ideal for an early childhood educator who is confident stepping into an established classroom, values structure and collaboration, and is committed to creating a warm and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Assume full Lead Teacher responsibilities in accordance with program and district requirements
• Oversee the daily operation of the PreK 3 classroom, following established curriculum, routines, and schedules
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities, utilizing the Creative Curriculum
• Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Support children's social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Collaborate closely with classroom staff, specialists, and administration
• Communicate professionally and appropriately with families and administrators
• Ensure all health, safety, supervision, and licensing standards are consistently met

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Lead Teacher or in a comparable early childhood education role
• Background or coursework in Early Childhood Education strongly preferred
• Experience with the Creative Curriculum preferred
• Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills
• Warm, patient, and reliable, with a team-oriented approach
• Ability to meet all state, licensing, and district requirements, including background checks

Pay: $120.00 per day
