Stocker / Cashier

Job Summary
Join our dynamic retail team as a Stocker / Cashier, where you'll be the friendly face and efficient operator that keeps our store running smoothly. In this energetic role, you'll ensure shelves are well-stocked with fresh products, assist customers with their purchases, and create a welcoming shopping environment. Responsibilities

• Stock shelves efficiently by receiving deliveries, organizing products, and ensuring merchandise is properly displayed to attract customers
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions quickly and securely
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product locations or product demos
• Upsell additional items or promotions to enhance the shopping experience and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain proper merchandising standards to keep the store visually appealing and organized
• Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling and retail math calculations
• Support inventory management through stocking, product rotation, and conducting regular stock checks to prevent shortages or overstocking

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Prior supervising experience in retail or grocery environments is a plus
• Ability to perform retail math accurately for sales transactions and inventory counts
• Strong communication skills with a friendly phone etiquette for customer interactions
• Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving a diverse customer base effectively
• Experience in merchandising, stocking, and product demos to engage shoppers
• Knowledge of grocery store operations and retail sales techniques
• Ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
