JOB SUMMARY
Responsibilities include enhancing patients' physical well-being and facilitating their journey towards recovery by:
- Understanding and adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Providing physician prescribed physical therapy.
- Directing and supervising personnel as required.
- Taking initial history and making initial evaluation.
- Consulting with physicians regarding change in treatment.
- Instructing patients and family/significant others in home programs and ADLs.
- Participating in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement activities.
- Preparing clinical and progress notes.
- Helping to develop the plan of care and revise as necessary.
Duties:
- Evaluate and assess patients' physical conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Provide hands-on therapy techniques to improve mobility, strength, and function
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques for at-home care
- Monitor and document patients' progress throughout the course of treatment
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in physical therapy
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Experience working with adult and pediatric patients
- Ability to provide patient-centered care in the patient's home setting
As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their mobility and improve their quality of life. You will work closely with patients, their families, and a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans.
