Highlights:
Summary :The MCC Facilities Manager oversees the maintenance and mailroom/receiving staff, facilities budget, thebuilding, grounds and equipment (HVAC, plumbing, etc..), and provides oversight for all contracted servicepersonnel at Montgomery Cancer Center. Facilities Manager ensures preventative maintenance and repairs toCenter buildings and equipment are done properly and in a timely manner. This individual is responsible forsafety drills, codes and necessary staff training, serves on the MCC Safety Committee and ensures compliancewith Joint Commission environment of care requirements. Education / Experience :High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 5 years experience in commercial building maintenance, electircal, mechanical, or carpentry field. Experience in a medical or hospital setting with knowledge base of enironment of care safety protocols used in the medical setting preferred. Must have an active driver's license with acceptable driving history. License / Certification : Active electrical or plumbing licensure preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : - Excellent communication skills. - Excellent PC skills required specifically with Windows based desktop applications. - Proven ability to get the job done, past performance reflects that ability. - Proven capability to understand and grasp knowledge of processes and determine methods to improve, when necessary. - Total acceptance and belief in the Baptist Health mission and values. - Positive attitude about self, others and Baptist Health. - Ability to travel from one Baptist facility to another and/or within any facility in a timely manner, whether travel is planned or not is required. - Understanding of methods and techniques used in carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and building maintenance, and knowledge of electrical and building codes.Working Conditions/Physical Requirements : Position requires sitting for 30% of the workday and mobility 70% of the workday.
There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels.
Much exposure to computer work.
Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
