Pet Care Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Care Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for pets in a safe and nurturing environment. Your passion for animals and commitment to their well-being will be essential in ensuring that each pet receives the attention and care they deserve. This position requires a blend of animal handling skills, customer service, and a genuine love for pets.

Key Responsibilities

Animal Care:

• Feeding and Watering: Ensuring animals have access to fresh food and water.
• Exercise: Providing opportunities for animals to exercise, such as walking dogs or letting them run in a yard.
• Medication Administration: Administering medications and treatments as directed by owners.
• Monitoring: Observing animals for signs of illness, injury, or unusual behavior and reporting concerns to veterinary staff.
• Comfort and Socialization: Providing comfort and socialization to animals, especially those who may be anxious or fearful.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

• Kennel Cleaning: Cleaning and sanitizing kennels, cages, and other animal living areas.
• Waste Removal: Removing animal waste and cleaning up spills and messes.
• Laundry: Washing and folding kennel laundry.
• Stocking: Restocking supplies, such as food, cleaning supplies, and medications.

Other Duties:

• Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of animal care and behavior.

Experience
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills and experience:

• Experience in animal care or handling, particularly with dogs and cats.
• Comfortable with all dog breeds.
• Familiarity with dog behavior is a plus.
• Able to work in a team and independently.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary

Pay: From $15.49 per hour
