Position Responsibilities

Provides a port for a staff of diesel mechanics and is administrative management of over 800 pieces of equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for complete processing of all repair orders in the computer and filling or repair orders.
• Maintains information regarding life history of all vehicles including daily fuel and oil usage, and major component serial numbers.
• Organizes and assists with coordinating daily PMI schedule and Maintenance Repair Orders.
• Responsible for the ordering of parts, issue of purchase orders, receiving of orders, stocking of orders, and the processing of invoices.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the parts storage area, parts counter, and parts receiving area.
• Works with the Maintenance Manager to maintain inventory control of parts.
• Performs biannual physical inventory and weekly cycle counts to assure that an accurate part inventory is maintained at all times. Accomplishes human resources and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Must have a broad understanding of all mechanical systems related to heavy duty transportation vehicles to include body work, transmissions, engines, brakes, climate control units.
• Must be familiar with the laws/regulations associated with the safe operation of maintenance facilities.

Computer Skills

Must be computer literate in Microsoft office, and word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.

Education Requirements

High school diploma or GED required

Experience Requirements

1 year of experience in related field

Job Type: Full-time
