We are looking for dedicated Warehouse Associates to join our growing logistics team in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that keep our warehouse running smoothly. Your duties will include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and staging items for shipment, and assisting with general warehouse upkeep. This position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team, and a keen eye for detail. Safety is our top priority, and you will be expected to adhere to all safety protocols and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Join us and contribute to our efficient logistics operations!
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and process incoming inventory.
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using order sheets or scanners.
- Pack items carefully to prevent damage during transit.
- Stage outgoing shipments for carriers.
- Organize and maintain inventory within the warehouse.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks safely.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stock counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations, including wearing required PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to work.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Willingness to follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
- Flexibility to work scheduled shifts, including occasional overtime.
