We are looking for dedicated Order Pickers to join our bustling distribution center in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently. Your primary focus will be to locate, retrieve, and prepare items for shipment. This position requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to navigate a large warehouse, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. You'll be working with state-of-the-art scanning technology to ensure order accuracy and assist in maintaining optimal inventory levels. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order lists, using hand-held scanners or other technology.
- Verify picked items against order specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Transport picked orders to packing and shipping stations.
- Assist with inventory control by reporting discrepancies or stock issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety guidelines.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to overall team performance.
- Safely operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability for frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse scanning systems is a plus.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Flexibility to work different shifts if required.
