We are looking for a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to join our team in San Francisco, California. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming goods, ensuring their accurate documentation and proper placement within our warehouse. Your attention to detail will be paramount in maintaining the integrity of our inventory and supporting the overall logistics operations. We are committed to providing a secure and efficient workplace for all employees.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming freight.
- Verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Stage incoming inventory for proper put-away.
- Collaborate with other warehouse departments to ensure timely processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
- Previous experience in a receiving or inventory control role preferred.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including inventory management software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to perform manual tasks, including moderate lifting of goods.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and supply chain operations.
