Our distribution center in Fort Worth, Texas, is looking for a diligent Order Picker to join our team. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for retrieving specific items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. This role is a critical component of our overall logistics strategy, ensuring timely processing and shipment of goods. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. You will utilize technology, such as RF scanners, to locate and pick items. Your accuracy and speed directly impact customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. This position involves physical activity, including walking, standing, and frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated locations based on order tickets.
- Use RF scanners and other warehouse technology to manage inventory and track picks.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Verify item details and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damaged items.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Perform tasks that involve repetitive motion and moderate lifting .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Capacity for frequent lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners is a plus.
- Understanding of logistics and warehouse flow.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety rules and wearing required PPE .
