Join our team in Baltimore, Maryland as a Material Handler! We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious individual to manage the movement of goods within our busy warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products. This role is fundamental to the efficiency of our logistics operations, requiring physical stamina and a keen awareness of safety procedures. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure seamless operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against purchase orders.
- Unload materials from trucks using appropriate equipment.
- Transport materials to designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Pick, pack, and stage materials for outgoing shipments.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Conduct routine inspections of material handling equipment.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Report any damaged goods or safety concerns to management immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 60 lbs regularly.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and procedures.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be willing to wear required PPE, including safety vests and steel-toed footwear.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
