We are hiring for an Order Picker in our Detroit, Michigan facility! This role is essential for ensuring the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders within our busy logistics center. You will be responsible for efficiently locating and retrieving specified items from warehouse shelves, ensuring that each order is picked correctly. Strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to Safety are key requirements for this position. Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve products from warehouse shelves according to pick lists or electronic device instructions.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and product details to guarantee order accuracy.
- Stage picked items in the designated area for the packing and shipping departments.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within your assigned picking zones.
- Follow all company Safety regulations and protocols, ensuring the proper use of PPE.
- Report any inventory discrepancies, damages, or picking errors to your supervisor promptly.
- Participate in inventory counts and other related warehouse tasks.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and contribute to efficient logistics.
- Ensure all tasks are performed with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and understand picking instructions and product labels.
- Must be physically capable of performing demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long hours.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a drive for accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety best practices.
- A cooperative spirit and ability to work well with others.
