We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced warehouse in Sacramento, California. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting inventory. This role is essential to our **logistics** operations, ensuring the smooth flow of materials within the distribution center. Your expertise in operating forklifts will be critical to maintaining productivity and **safety** standards. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials around the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently and safely.
- Transport goods from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to order picking areas.
- Stack and stage products in designated locations, ensuring stability and **safety**.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts, reporting any issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and ensure accuracy of stock placement.
- Adhere strictly to all **safety** regulations and company policies.
- Wear appropriate **PPE** at all times while operating equipment.
- Follow **logistics** procedures for efficient material handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of warehouse **logistics** and inventory management principles.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including **lifting** up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to **safety**.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Compliance with **PPE** requirements.
