We are looking for dedicated and efficient Picker/Packers to join our bustling logistics facility in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, you will be at the heart of our distribution process, responsible for accurately and efficiently picking orders and preparing them for shipment. Your attention to detail and ability to work at a steady pace will be key to ensuring our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to customer orders, using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure accuracy before packing.
- Package products securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Label packages with shipping information accurately.
- Stage packed orders for shipment, ensuring correct destination sorting.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as receiving, put-away, or replenishment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other manual handling equipment as required.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and gloves when necessary.
- Contribute to team goals by meeting or exceeding picking and packing performance metrics.
- Previous experience as a picker, packer, or in a similar warehouse role is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and shipping labels.
- Basic math skills for verifying quantities.
- Dexterity and ability to handle a variety of products.
- Willingness to perform physical tasks, including significant Lifting (up to 40 lbs regularly) and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse operations is a plus.
