Join our expanding operations as a Material Handler in Durham, North Carolina. This role is integral to our warehouse efficiency, focusing on the movement, organization, and storage of materials. You will utilize various equipment, including forklifts, to ensure materials are correctly positioned for production or shipment. We are seeking dependable individuals with a strong commitment to safety and teamwork. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move, stack, and organize materials within the warehouse.
- Transport goods to and from different departments or storage locations.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory management activities, including cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with Safety standards.
- Follow all company policies and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Valid forklift certification preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and material flow.
- Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
Requirements: All personnel are required to wear designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety shoes and vests. This position involves significant physical exertion and frequent Lifting of materials. A solid grasp of Logistics and warehouse procedures is crucial.
