We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our Logistics team in Phoenix, Arizona. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our warehouse. Your role is critical in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and maintaining inventory accuracy. This position requires a keen eye for Safety, precision in operation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, rail cars, and other vehicles as required.
- Stack and stage materials in designated areas, ensuring proper placement and stability.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance or safety issues immediately.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory locations.
- Assist with inventory counts and verification as needed.
- Follow traffic rules and designated pathways within the warehouse to ensure Safety.
- Support the overall Logistics operations by performing duties in a timely and efficient manner.
- This role may involve occasional manual tasks, including some Lifting.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid forklift operator certification from a recognized institution.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling best practices.
- Demonstrated commitment to Safety and the ability to follow strict safety guidelines.
- Ability to perform routine checks on equipment and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Good physical condition, with the ability to perform occasional Lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Logistics setting.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
