*Overview*
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated *Network Engineer* to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures. This role requires a deep understanding of *computer networking*, *network security*, and *IT infrastructure*, with proficiency in a variety of networking protocols, hardware, and software platforms. As a key contributor, you will ensure the stability, security, and high availability of our network systems across multiple environments including data centers, cloud platforms, and enterprise networks.
*Responsibilities*
* Design, deploy, and manage *LAN*, *WAN*, *VLANs*, *SAN*, and *IP networking* architectures to support organizational needs.
* Configure and maintain network devices such as *Cisco routers*, *Juniper devices*, *Cisco ASA firewalls*, *Meraki* switches/access points, and other network hardware.
* Implement and support advanced security measures including *VPNs (IPsec, SSL)*, *firewalls*, *IDS/IPS systems*, *Cisco ISE*, and *network encryption protocols*.
* Monitor network performance using tools like *SolarWinds*, *PRTG*, and *Splunk*; perform regular vulnerability assessments and troubleshoot issues related to network security.
* Manage network infrastructure in cloud environments such as *AWS* and Azure, including virtual networks, load balancers, and high availability configurations.
* Automate network tasks using scripting languages like *Python*, *Bash (Unix shell)*, or tools such as *Ansible*.
* Oversee system administration tasks related to operating systems including *Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, openSUSE)*, Windows Server, and UNIX variants.
* Support remote access solutions utilizing technologies like *Remote access software*, *SSH*, and secure file transfer protocols (*SFTP*, *FTP*).
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects involving network installation, upgrades, capacity planning, and SDLC processes.
* Maintain documentation of network architecture diagrams, configurations, policies, and procedures aligned with ITIL standards.
*Qualifications*
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; relevant certifications such as CCNP/CCIE are highly desirable.
* Proven experience with enterprise networking including *routing protocols (OSPF, BGP EIGRP)*, switching technologies (*Ethernet*), and network management tools.
* Strong knowledge of network security principles including *encryption*, authentication (*LDAP*, SSO), VPNs (*IPsec*), firewalls (*Cisco ASA*), and cloud security practices.
* Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms such as *VMware vSphere*/*vCenter*/*vSphere HA*/*vMotion*).
* Familiarity with scripting for automation (*PowerShell*, *Shell Scripting*) and configuration management tools like *Ansible*.
* Experience supporting large-scale IT infrastructure environments involving databases (*SQL*, *Oracle*) and enterprise applications.
* Knowledge of telecommunication systems including VoIP solutions and QoS configurations.
* Ability to work in an Agile environment with excellent problem-solving skills; strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
