Job Title: Border Security Specialist

Job Description:

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency seeks highly skilled individuals to fill the position of Customs and Border Protection Officer.


Candidates must be willing to work in a dynamic environment, ensuring national security by enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws while facilitating legitimate trade and travel.


Qualifications:
    • Detaining suspected violators of federal, state or local laws • Enforcing laws relating to importing and exporting merchandise • Conducting interviews for gaining information from suspected lawbreakers
In order to qualify at the GS-9 grade level, you will need at least one year's worth of specialized experience or a master's degree (or higher). The agency requires applicants who have had primary residency in the United States for at least three out of five years.  You may also apply if you are veterans' preference eligible.


This is an entry-level career with opportunities for advancement through various training programs once hired as CBP officers)
, including this intensive 101-day training program that covers comprehensive courses on basic law enforcement skills, firearms useages etc; .
