Akkodis is seeking a
Data Engineer
for a
Contract
with a client in
Malvern, PA.
You will be responsible for designing and optimizing data pipelines and ensuring efficient data processing and integration across cloud environments.
Rate Range:
$56/hour to $61/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Data Engineer Job Responsibilities Include
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines using AWS services and PySpark for efficient data processing.
- Implement ETL workflows to ingest, transform, and load large datasets from multiple sources into cloud-based data platforms.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval in AWS environments (e.g., S3, Redshift, Glue) for performance and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide clean, structured, and reliable datasets for analytics and machine learning.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance through robust validation, monitoring, and governance practices.
- Automate data engineering tasks using Python scripts and orchestration tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (master's preferred).
- 4–6 years of experience in data engineering with strong exposure to AWS cloud services.
- Proven expertise in building and optimizing data pipelines using Python and PySpark.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, and EMR for large-scale data processing.

Pay Details:
$56.00 to $61.00 per hour
