Job Position Summary
The Registered Nurse is responsible for conducting safe practices within their scope of practice. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
● Conducting day-to-day responsibilities such as seeing clients and performing services within scope of practice as offered by medical spa
● Recognizing medical conditions, allergies, and/or medications that may be considered unsafe or warrant additional information and/or assessment from medical director
● Administering intravenous therapy, medications, injections and other specialized medical treatments to improve or help prevent illness, disease, or injury
● Monitoring patients' condition and progress and re-evaluating treatments as necessary ● Maintaining strict patient confidentiality in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
● Refer clients to specialty services and in conjunction with client background
● Successfully monitor and document inventory
● Be willing and able to lift up to 40lbs
● Educate clients on all medical services the spa provides
● Managing patient records using the MINDBODY system or other EMR system
● Maintaining a portfolio of continuing professional development activities
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
● Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing
- Minimum 3+ years experience as a registered nurse in clinical or hospital setting
● Must pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX)
● Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment
● Good listening skills; strong verbal communication skills with a diverse range of individuals
● Must have the ability to work well under pressure and stay calm/focused in emergency situations
● Potentially assist physician's assistant, nurse practitioner or physician with job duties within their scope of practice
● Critical thinking skills
● Be highly self-motivated and results-driven individual
● Have the willingness to serve clients in a fast-pace and high pressure environment
● Good bedside manner/customer service, be emotionally stable and have the ability to make decisions in emergency situations
● A desire for further education to keep up with ever changing medical advances & protocols
● Be comfortable working with computers
