Summary:
This position will assist our customers in North America. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for receiving shipments, processing, fulfilling orders, and shipping products. Will review warehouse stock, purchase necessary materials, and organize inventory by maintaining data in the ERP system. May contact customers, vendors or freight carriers for discrepancies, damage, and shortages.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
· Responsible for maintaining stock levels, ordering the necessary parts needed to maintain minimum quantities and complete customer orders.
· Review ERP system for stock levels daily.
· Communicate with European factories and local vendors to order stock parts and fulfill customer orders.
· Organize and track Less Truck Load and Full Truck Load deliveries and pickups.
· Create and communicate Return Merchandise Authorization to customers.
· Complete monthly inventory cycle counting to verify minimum stock levels are met.
· Receive incoming materials, verify packing slip quantities, and place them in assigned stock area.
· Assist with preparing machines for delivery and for return evaluation.
· Operate forklift and follow warehouse safety protocols.
· Maintain assigned stock area with proper label identification, organization, and efficiency.
· Pick and pack outgoing materials according to customer orders.
· Process domestic and international shipments via UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager.
· Maintain an organized, efficient, and safe work environment.
· Enter and process customer quotes and sales orders in our ERP system.
· Enter and process purchase orders in our ERP system.
· Communicate with customers to research, verify and quote requested parts.
· Work with Accounting department by providing packing lists daily.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Proficient at processing domestic and international shipments via UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager.
· Prior warehouse distribution experience, including pallet jack, and sit-down forklift.
· Proficient knowledge for Microsoft Office Suite, computer-based applications, and warehouse inventory software.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Strong organizational skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· None.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required, associate degree in Supervisory Management or related program and/or equivalent experience, preferred.
· Minimum of two years of experience preferred.
Travel:
· None.
Work Environment:
- Environment is within a Warehouse.
- Frequent and continuous computer-based work requires prolonged sitting, close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Hearing acuity and ability to communicate with others effectively.
- Manual dexterity and hand eye coordination for typing, filing and utilization of office equipment.
- Mobility to move around the environment as needed.
· Performs repetitive motion of fingers, hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, and upper body while packing, unpacking, loading, and unloading shipped goods and printed inventory.
· Requires dexterity of fingers to gather and pack items for shipment and enter data into computer.
· On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders.
· The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
