Community Action Partnership for Madison County Inc. is a nonprofit human services agency that serves Madison, Herkimer, Oneida and Chenango counties. The agency has programs funded by New York State, federal, and Madison County grants. Some of the primary programs offered by the agency are Healthy Families, Early Head Start, WIC, and Housing.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the coordination and program implementation in the following areas for the Early Head Start component of the Early Childhood Division:
- Early Childhood Development and School Readiness
- Health Services
- Family and Community Partnerships
- Education/Disabilities
- Program Design and Management
- Governance
- The Program Manager is responsible for keeping current with Head Start regulations and with providing information and training to the governing body, policy council and agency personnel to ensure compliance with protocols and requirements established by Head Start through the Performance Standards, Head Start Act and any additional directives and policies.
- The Program Manager develops the training plan and short and long term goals for the program with the assistance of staff, management and community partners.
- The Program Manager works with the Community Services Director to develop the annual budget and is responsible for ensuring that all the required documents for the budget application are gathered and submitted to the Northeast Regional Office.
- The Program Manager is responsible for the direct supervision of EHS Coordinators.
- Grant writing and overseeing the Budget.
- Organizing and maintaining a policy council for the program.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:
- A Bachelor's degree in social work, health, early childhood education, child development, or related field plus four years of direct experience with families required.
- At least two years' experience in a supervisory or management position in human services program including fiscal management and administration.
- Must have driver's license and car.
- Hiring must be approved by the Policy Council, CAP Board and the Region II office of Head Start.
