Job description:

Axiom Pro is a US-based recruiting and outstaffing company. We're hiring a Senior .NET Full-Stack Engineer for our international partner. This position is for an on-site engineer who can take ownership of complex enterprise applications, balance hands-on delivery with technical decision-making, and help the team maintain strong engineering standards. Our partner builds data-intensive products in a regulated environment, where stability, security, and clear processes matter.

Responsibilities:

  • Take features from requirements through implementation, release, and ongoing maintenance/support across the full SDLC.
  • Build and maintain web solutions in ASP.NET and VB.NET, working with MySQL as the primary datastore.
  • Make and drive architecture/design decisions for enterprise systems to keep them scalable and maintainable.
  • Provide recommendations on the technology stack and evaluate new/emerging tools based on business value.
  • Define and run a practical testing approach: unit testing, integration/system testing, and UAT, including proper documentation.
  • Mentor the in-house engineering team and contribute technical guidance and day-to-day engineering leadership.
  • Handle advanced database ownership areas (DBA-type work): performance tuning, monitoring, and operational reliability.
  • Work closely with BAs, stakeholders, and engineers to convert business expectations into clear technical solutions.
  • Deliver cross-platform mobile development for iOS and Android when required.
  • Introduce and operationalize AI-assisted development tooling in the team workflow to raise productivity and code quality (e.g., AI code generation/completion tools such as GitHub Copilot / Claude Code; AI-assisted testing & debugging; ML integration support).
  • Run code reviews and reinforce consistent development standards.
  • Support delivery planning: estimates, resource allocation, and coordination of development work.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent experience with proven technical leadership.
  • 5–7 years of development experience, including at least 2 years in a senior and/or leadership capacity.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Strong experience with ASP.NET + VB.NET and modern engineering practices.
  • Entity Framework, .NET Core, Web API, Angular.
  • Practical experience with AI tools in engineering workflows: AI-assisted coding, automated testing/debugging support, and ML model integration.
  • Enterprise database experience with MySQL and Oracle (architecture and optimization).
  • Solid SQL: stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning.
  • DBA fundamentals: backups, disaster recovery, query optimization, and monitoring.
  • Reporting tools: Crystal Reports and/or Business Objects.
  • Strong SDLC understanding and ability to adjust methodology to the needs of a given project.
  • Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills for complex technical issues.
  • Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks.
  • Understanding of enterprise security best practices and compliance expectations.

Leadership & Strategic Skills:

  • Experience supporting or leading teams of 3+ engineers, mentoring, and developing junior developers.
  • Ability to assess options and recommend technology solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Project management capability (estimation, resource planning, risk management).
  • Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Highly Preferred:

  • Experience in healthcare environments and familiarity with HIPAA.
  • Automation and robotics integration experience.
  • Agile/Scrum certification plus real implementation experience.
  • DevOps practices: containerization and infrastructure as code.
  • Trenton, New Jersey, United States
