DSP (Direct Support Professional)

We are looking for team members to work with youth with developmental disabilities in a residential setting in WADSWORTH. We have afternoons and overnights available. Positions require every other weekend and holiday.

Positions include all activities of daily living, including assistance with personal hygiene, medications, outings, cleaning, cooking and other tasks necessary in maintaining a home. There is an emphasis on outings, so having a valid drivers license with less than four points and access to an insured vehicle while at work are imperative. We offer paid training, but expect all of our employees to work closely with each other and with behavior specialists (when indicated) for the best outcomes for the children and adults in our care.

MINIMUM qualifications include being at least 18 years of age with a clean background and high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver license with less than four points and access to reliable transportation. We PREFER experience, Medication Administration Certification, CPI, and First Aid/CPR, but will offer training if needed.

Direct Support Professionals are people who work directly with people with developmental disabilities with the aim of assisting the individual to obtain the best quality of life they can.

You MUST be able to pass a background check - NO exceptions.

You MUST be 18 years of age or older with a GED or High School Diploma. For positions outside of overnights, you MUST have a clean driving record with transportation that you WOULD BE WILLING TO HAVE CLIENTS IN. This includes having INSURANCE
