Internship Overview: 

Intuitive Machines is seeking a dynamic and ambitious individual to join our team as a Propulsion Intern. This internship is designed for students pursuing degrees in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field. As a Propulsion Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, gaining hands-on experience in the design, testing, and optimization of propulsion systems.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Contribute to the design and analysis of propulsion systems, including engines and thrusters, for various aerospace applications.
  • Assist in the setup and execution of propulsion system tests, collecting and analyzing data to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Use software tools to simulate and model propulsion system behavior, aiding in the optimization and refinement of design concepts.
  • Work closely with experienced engineers and researchers to contribute to ongoing propulsion projects, providing valuable insights and support.
  • Maintain detailed records of design iterations, test results, and analysis findings, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during testing and research activities to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Qualifications: 

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in propulsion systems and aerospace technology.
