Cook/Sous Chef

Cypress Creek Assisted Living & Memory Care Residence is a family-owned and operated community in Sun City Center.

We are looking to hire a part-time Sous Chef/Cook for our community.

Must be able to work any hours between the hours of 6am-6pm, and be available to work weekends and holidays as needed on rotation. This culinary position is great for those wanting to have a great balance between home and work life.

The job consists of:

• Assist with the preparation and planning of meal designs.
• Cooking and prepping meals and desserts.
• Ensure that food products, presentation, and plating are of the highest quality and are prepared to serve in a timely manner.
• Assure adherence to all standards of food quality, preparation, recipes, and presentation in conjunction with the specifications
• Ensure that kitchen activities operate in a timely manner.
• Monitor and record inventory as needed.
• Provide support to kitchen co-workers on various tasks as needed.
• Adhere to and implement sanitation regulations and safety regulations.
• Manage the kitchen team in the executive chef's absence.

Qualifications/Education: High School diploma preferred.

Experience: Six months of food/beverage/hospitality experience.

TB test and Level II background check are required upon hire.
