We are seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Engineer to join our team. This position focuses on supporting light in-house manufacturing operations, including the operation of 3D printers, CNC routers, and related equipment. The Associate Engineer will ensure that all processes adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while contributing to the efficiency, quality, and reliability of our production workflows. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across design, documentation, and production to ensure high-quality, durable, and manufacturable products.

*This is a fully ONSITE position in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

*Remote or hybrid are not an option at this time.

*No C2C. Must have authorization to work in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain 3D printers, CNC routers, and light manufacturing equipment.
  • Assist with the mechanical design of systems, focusing on functionality, durability, and manufacturability.
  • Program and set up machines using simple programming tools, following SOPs.
  • Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform basic maintenance.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to transform concepts into manufactured parts.
  • Document production activities and maintain accurate process records.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for workflow optimization.
  • Uphold all safety and quality standards within the manufacturing environment.
  • Support R&D efforts to develop new assembly procedures or mechanisms that improve overall build efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (Preferred or equivalent experience).
  • Hands-on experience with 3D printing and CNC machining required.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings, instructions, and SOPs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety practices in manufacturing settings.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • This is a full-time, in-office position | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Ability to lift 15 pounds.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or working on a computer.
