Position Summary:

The Assembly Specialist is responsible for supporting Lesco's production operations by assembling components, sub-assemblies, and finished products in accordance with established specifications and quality requirements. This position will also assist with loading trucks and general shop activities as needed. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and adherence to all safety and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assemble products and sub-assemblies by reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
  • Perform routine quality checks to ensure all assemblies meet Lesco standards
  • Assist in loading trucks and preparing materials for shipment
  • Safely operate and maintain hand tools and power tools required for assembly
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding work status, issues, and improvement opportunities
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and follow all company safety procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support production needs
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety issues to supervision.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for quality, efficiency, and safety in the assembly department.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and written instructions
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in assembly
  • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality
  • Effective verbal communication and ability to work cooperatively with others

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.

Working Conditions

  • Manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, tools, and standard shop conditions
  • Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) required at all times.
  • First Shift, overtime and weekend work will be required based on project schedules.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 70 per week
