Bullen Ultrasonics is a leader in precision machining, where CNC, ultrasonic, and laser-based technologies power work that demands accuracy, reliability, and pride. We're looking for a Maintenance Technician who's ready to help keep these systems running at their best so our teams can deliver excellent results for our customers.
If you enjoy solving problems, keeping complex equipment humming, and supporting a team that values integrity and humility as much as technical skill, this role offers both impact and stability.
Basic Function:
As a Maintenance Technician at Bullen Ultrasonics, you will be responsible for ensuring that production equipment, facilities, and support systems remain fully operational, safe, and reliable. Your work will support Bullen's precision machining operations (including ultrasonic and laser-based machining) and help minimize downtime so that production meets quality, safety, and scheduling standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on all production machinery including CNC machinery, ultrasonic machining centers, tooling systems, auxiliary equipment, and facility systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, compressed air, etc.)
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues; diagnose root causes and apply repairs or adjustments to restore operation.
- Disassemble, repair, rebuild, and reassemble equipment components when necessary; replace defective parts, adjust components, and test for proper operation.
- Assist with installation, setup, relocation, and commissioning of new machinery or production lines.
- Maintain facility infrastructure: building maintenance, lighting, plumbing, structural repairs, general facility upkeep as needed.
- Use hand and power tools, electrical meters, diagnostic instruments, and other equipment for repair and maintenance tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints, machine manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics, and work orders to perform accurate maintenance.
- Maintain maintenance logs and records of work performed, repairs, and parts used.
- Comply with all safety environmental, and quality standards required in a precision-machining environment (e.g., lock-out/tag-out procedures, PPE, company safety protocols).
- Collaborate with production operators, quality teams, and engineering staff ensuring smooth operations, minimal downtime, and support for manufacturing needs.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications are a plus
- Experience or strong aptitude in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents
- Skilled with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and basic machine shop practices
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Clear, respectful communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
- Willingness to support off-shift or urgent repair needs when required
- Knowledge of safety protocols, OSHA standards, and facility maintenance best practices
What Makes You a Great Fit
- You take initiative and stay calm when equipment demands attention.
- You're adaptable and comfortable shifting between mechanical, electrical, and facility tasks as needed.
- You stay organized and keep accurate records.
- You enjoy collaborating with talented operators, engineers, and quality teams toward shared goals.
- You prioritize safety consistently and confidently.
- These traits reflect the values that guide Bullen: striving for excellence, acting with integrity, supporting teammates, and keeping a humble, learning-focused mindset.
Physical Requirements
This role involves standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, kneeling, and navigating areas around production machinery. You should be comfortable lifting or moving:
- Up to 25 pounds regularly
- Up to 50 pounds frequently
- Over 100 pounds occasionally with assistance
Vision requirements include close focus, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
If you want to work with advanced manufacturing technology, support a team-driven environment, and build a career where your craftsmanship has a daily impact, we'd love to meet you.
