About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team within the Care Coordination Delivery 360 department. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software solutions that support our healthcare delivery systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, product owners, and stakeholders, to develop innovative applications that enhance operational efficiency and improve patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of software engineering principles, cloud technologies, and agile methodologies, along with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, high-availability systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience (additional 4 years for non-degree candidates)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software design, development, testing, and requirements management
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
- Proficiency in database technologies including SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL
- Hands-on experience with programming languages like JavaScript, Python, and C
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and modern software development practices
- Familiarity with software testing methodologies including TDD and BDD
- Understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to mentor junior developers and lead technical teams effectively
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of software engineers in designing, developing, and deploying multiple applications aligned with organizational goals
- Perform detailed technical design, coding, review, and testing of new and existing applications
- Act as a subject matter expert for specific systems and their applications, providing guidance and best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define system scope, and develop technical solutions
- Develop interface design documentation and ensure compliance with hardware and software standards
- Manage and coordinate modifications, maintenance, and enhancements of operational programs
- Identify technical risks, evaluate opportunities, and implement risk mitigation strategies
- Support the project manager by providing accurate estimates of technical costs and resource requirements
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve system performance and scalability
- Mentor junior team members, review code, and ensure adherence to quality standards
- Lead efforts in transforming and migrating to new software architectures and open-source frameworks
- Ensure deployment standards, security policies, and best practices are consistently followed across projects
