We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our Food Truck. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in food preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are prepped and ready for cooking. Duties

• Prepare and chop ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications.
• Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all meals are prepared in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other culinary tools.
• Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary requirements when necessary.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or culinary roles is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential.
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation.
• A passion for the culinary arts and a willingness to learn new techniques.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed within the kitchen schedule.
