Are you a Registered Nurse with supervisory and ambulatory experience who's ready for a new step in your career? Evergreen's Director of Nursing position offers a leadership position in our primary care locations, with no weekends and no on-call hours!
The Director of Nursing (DON) oversees the day-to-day clinical operations of our primary care locations. The DON will support the development, implementation, and monitoring of processes that improve procedures and patient throughput. The DON is responsible for recruiting, developing, and retaining a high-performing team, and will supervise six members of the nursing leadership team. The DON leads the design and implementation of clinical workflows that deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care, in collaboration with providers and administrative leadership. The DON will collaborate with the Director of Practice Operations to ensure adequate access to care and patient flow throughout the clinic sites. The DON will report directly to the AVP of Clinical Operations and will directly supervise the Nurse Managers and Clinical Operations Coordinator.
Qualified Candidate will have a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is strongly preferred; current BLS certification required; must have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, etc.; qualified candidate will have at minimum, three (3) years of supervisory experience; candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills; candidate will have strong supervisory and leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize and delegate as appropriate; strong analytical and problem-solving skills necessary; experience working in an EMR system (Medent) strongly preferred; sensitivity to HIV/AIDS, addiction, and LGBT issues is essential.

Required Education/Certification/Experience : Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in NYS*; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred; BLS certification; minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience; strong computer skills including MS Outlook and MS Word
* RNs must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) OR a documented plan to complete a BSN within NYSED's RN BSN requirement timeframe OR have degree/license dates meeting NYSED's exemption requirements
