LACOE is seeking an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Coordinator to lead and support the implementation and long-term support of its new ERP system as part of the - a major system modernization initiative serving over 125 school districts, community colleges, and education agencies.
In this role, the ERP Coordinator will oversee the configuration, conversion, testing, and post-production support of the ERP system, which includes finance, payroll, procurement, and human resources functions. This position plays a critical role in coordinating efforts across technical teams, functional teams, and client agencies to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing success of the system. This role also includes direct supervision of staff involved in ERP implementation and support activities.

The Well Qualified Candidate Will Possess the Following
Knowledge:
- Principles and practices of human capital management, payroll, retirement, benefits, accounting, and financial functional areas
Implementation, configuration, deployment, of ERP systems (e.g. PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, CGI) - Principles and practices of ERP system functionality, database tables structure, design, testing, and analysis
- Processes and practices in developing technical systems documentation, including documenting and detailing functional and technical specifications
- Business Intelligence (BI) practices and related technologies (e.g., SAP Business Objects, Microsoft Power BI)
- Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications
- Federal, State, and local laws, ordinances, codes, and regulations related to finance, procurement, budget, payroll, benefits, retirement, and human capital management

Experience: Four years of ERP system implementation or post-production support experience in one or more of the following functional areas: payroll, human resources/human capital, and/or finance. One year of lead experience.
Equivalency Provision: Year(s) of experience beyond the minimum experience requirement may substitute for education on a year-to-year basis for up to two years. Professional certification in one of the following may substitute for two years of the required education: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification, Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA), or equivalent.
Additional Requirements: Experience implementing ERP systems in a California public sector (e.g., K-12 school district, community college, county office of education) payroll unit is preferred. A valid California driver's license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites may be required.
Hybrid remote schedules may be available. To ensure the health and safety of its staff, LACOE may require employees to provide evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19.
