Are you an experienced Order Picker looking for a new opportunity? Join our logistics team in Grand Rapids, Michigan! We are seeking diligent and efficient individuals to manage order fulfillment within our warehouse. This role is central to our operations, focusing on accurately picking items for customer orders and preparing them for shipment. You will be responsible for locating products, ensuring inventory accuracy, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our distribution process. We emphasize a safe working environment and provide thorough training on all aspects of the job, including the correct use of PPE and safe lifting practices. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated locations based on order sheets.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Operate pallet jacks or other lifting equipment safely (if applicable).
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through counts and checks.
- Prepare picked items for the packing and shipping departments.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Follow all company safety policies and wear appropriate PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to meet order fulfillment targets.
- Contribute to the efficient operations of the logistics hub.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms accurately.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform manual lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Team player with good communication abilities.
- Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines.
