We are looking for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a supervisor, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping. Your leadership will be crucial in driving efficiency, maintaining high **safety** standards, and ensuring the smooth flow of our **logistics** operations. You will be responsible for managing staff, assigning tasks, training new employees, and ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of **PPE**. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of warehouse management systems and **logistics**. You will also be responsible for enforcing **safety** regulations and promoting a culture of **safety** throughout the department.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of warehouse staff.
- Ensure efficient receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Implement and enforce **safety** procedures and **PPE** guidelines to minimize workplace accidents.
- Train and mentor warehouse associates, providing ongoing feedback and performance evaluations.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
- Coordinate with carriers and manage shipping and receiving schedules.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues and discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records and generate performance reports.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and accountability.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse **logistics**, operations, and inventory management.
- Strong understanding of **safety** regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform **Lifting** up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Commitment to promoting **safety** and ensuring proper **PPE** usage among staff.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
