We have an exciting opportunity for an Order Picker in our Tampa, Florida distribution center! As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Your main duties will involve accurately locating, retrieving, and preparing items for shipment. This role is critical to our logistics operations, requiring speed, accuracy, and a keen eye for detail. We prioritize a safe and efficient work environment, providing all necessary training and emphasizing the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using a handheld scanner or order list.
- Retrieve items from various warehouse locations efficiently.
- Package picked items securely for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Verify order accuracy before preparing for dispatch.
- Operate order picking equipment such as pallet jacks and electric carts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from hazards.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including Lifting best practices and the use of required PPE.
- Contribute to team efforts by assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Physical capability to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols within the logistics sector.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
