Seeking a reliable Order Picker to join our busy logistics hub in Washington, D.C. This position is essential for ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for efficiently retrieving specified items from warehouse shelves, utilizing hand-held scanners and other equipment. Your accuracy and speed are critical to maintaining our high standards of customer service and operational efficiency. You will work closely with the shipping department to ensure orders are prepared correctly for dispatch. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is crucial for both safety and productivity. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and capable of lifting up to 40 lbs. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and standing or walking for the duration of your shift. Strict adherence to all company safety policies and the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses and gloves, is required. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using RF scanners.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order sheets.
- Stage picked items in the designated packing area.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and utilize required PPE.
- Report any inventory discrepancies to a supervisor.
