As a Material Handler, you will play a key role in the movement of goods, operating equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to transport materials within the facility. A strong emphasis is placed on workplace Safety, and all Material Handlers must adhere to strict safety regulations and wear required PPE at all times. Responsibilities:
- Operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport goods to and from various locations within the warehouse.
- Stock shelves and organize inventory in designated areas.
- Assist with order picking and packing as needed.
- Ensure all materials are handled safely and securely.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a material handling or warehouse role preferred.
- Forklift certification is a strong asset.
- Ability to perform Heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs) and other physically demanding tasks.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory control systems.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Commitment to Safety and the mandatory use of PPE.
