Seeking a diligent Picker/Packer to join our growing logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska! This is a vital role in our distribution center, focused on ensuring the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. You will be responsible for locating, picking, and preparing products for shipment, playing a direct role in customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced warehouse setting. A strong commitment to Safety protocols and efficient work practices is essential. This position offers a great entry point into the logistics industry, with opportunities to learn and develop new skills.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves using order lists or scanning equipment.
- Verify product information against order details.
- Pack items securely and efficiently using appropriate materials.
- Ensure all packages are correctly labeled for shipment.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment safely, such as pallet jacks.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, following warehouse standards.
- Adhere to all company Safety guidelines and procedures.
- Wear required PPE at all times, including safety glasses and gloves.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily fulfillment targets.
- Report any issues with inventory or equipment promptly.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to perform Lifting of up to 45 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of Logistics and inventory handling.
- Commitment to upholding workplace Safety standards.
- Willingness to use required PPE .
- Reliable and punctual.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
