The University of Leeds is a global university with a diverse community. You will write clear and concise content for websites and emails, using your knowledge and experience to support and shape the development of student recruitment marketing. You will write clear and concise content, including structuring, editing and tailoring content for differing audience needs to maximise copy for Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) advantage. You will build effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure course pages and other related areas of the site reflect the needs of prospective students.
Responsibilities
Write clear and concise content for websites and email, including structuring, editing and tailoring content for differing audience needs and SEO advantages.
Build effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure course pages and related site areas reflect the needs of prospective students.
Understand web analytics to develop and monitor the impact of website content and support site development and refinements.
Regularly review site analytics, analyse how content is used, and incorporate market insights to inform editorial decisions.
Demonstrate strong proofreading skills and be comfortable making editorial decisions on content structure and priorities.
Work independently, manage priorities, and meet demanding deadlines.
Collaborate in a matrix team, sharing resources with marketing colleagues and adapting to changing strategic focus; occasional weekend and/or evening work may be required.
Support key targets and metrics around learner numbers, campaign performance, brand and reputation measures and income generation.
Note: These duties provide a framework and may include other reasonable duties consistent with the grade of the post.
Qualifications / Requirements
Strong proofreading skills and ability to make editorial decisions on content structure and priorities.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
Understanding of web analytics and experience using insights to inform editorial decisions.
Experience in writing and editing content for digital marketing and student recruitment is desirable.
Willingness to work in a matrix team environment and be flexible with scheduling.
