QUALITY PROGRAMMER III
JOB SUMMARY
A Quality Programmer III is the highest-level technical expert within the digital inspection team. This role is responsible for developing and approving complex inspection strategies, leading technical reviews, and mentoring junior programmers. Quality Programmer IIIs support cross-functional quality efforts by collaborating with engineers, machinists, and leadership to ensure inspection methods align with overall quality objectives. They serve as the primary resource for advanced programming challenges, inspection tool optimization, and the refinement of inspection strategies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops, approves, and leads implementation of advanced inspection strategies across various tools and part geometries.
- Mentors and supports Quality Programmer I and II team members through informal coaching, training, and technical reviews.
- Provides input on selecting and evaluating inspection technologies, equipment, and software.
- Reviews balloon drawings, inspection documentation, and program outputs to ensure customer and internal standards compliance.
- Collaborates with Quality Engineers, machinists, and other departments to resolve complex inspection or quality issues.
- Assists in integrating inspection planning into broader quality and production strategies.
- Maintains ownership of assigned inspection workstations and ensures tool accuracy and readiness.
- Supports (minimally) continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, accuracy, and documentation enhancements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced experience in digital inspection methods and software platforms (CMM, laser scanner, laser tracker, etc.).
- Proven ability to lead inspection strategy development and provide technical guidance across teams.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to mentoring and knowledge-sharing.
- Attention to detail, precision, and proactive problem-solving.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of experience in digital inspection, quality, or manufacturing roles.
- Exposure to multi-tool integration and process optimization.
- Experience supporting quality investigations and strategic inspections with engineering and management teams.
